Connectivity for laboratory analyzers
Medap-Connect is the middleware between Medap-LIS® and laboratory instruments — it turns each analyzer's own protocol into one uniform, reliable interface.
Capabilities
300+ supported models
A configuration-first approach means adding a new analyzer usually means describing how it differs from the standard, not writing new code.
Independent connections
One analyzer failing doesn't affect the others — each connection runs as its own supervised process with automatic restart.
Industry standards
Supports ASTM E1394 / E1238-94 and CLSI LIS01/02/05 protocols, as well as HL7 v2 over MLLP.
Flexible result formats
Results can be delivered as DAT, JSON or XML, with a configurable measurement mapping table.
Testing without hardware
Built-in tools record and replay an instrument session, so a connection can be verified without access to the physical analyzer.
Real-time visibility
A browser view shows each connection's status and log as it happens.
Supported manufacturers
Medap-Connect is already configured for a broad range of analyzers — including Abbott Architect, Roche cobas infinity and cobas 6000, Beckman Coulter AQUIOS, Sysmex UF-1000 and UIT-plus, Mindray BC5300, Thermo Fisher QuantStudio5, Seegene and CubeDx — spanning chemistry, hematology, immunoassay and molecular diagnostics. If your analyzer isn't on the list, adding it is usually a configuration task rather than a development project.
