Patient and order registration
Searching the database by name, personal code or date of birth prevents duplicate records; a single order can hold several materials.
Sample tracking
Every sample carries a status — from registration to an approved report — so staff always know where a process stands.
Result entry and verification
Results arrive automatically from analyzers via Medap-Connect, or are entered manually, then checked and approved before release.
Reports and logs
Test reports, registration and laboratory logs, and barcode labels are all generated directly from the system.
Branches and remote workplaces
One database serves several branches and workplaces outside the main laboratory.
Flexible search and filtering
The sample list can be filtered by order, patient, execution status or external identifiers.
Technology
Medap-LIS® has been developed since the early 1990s and now runs on PostgreSQL and Python. Medap-LIS® is used in more than a hundred laboratories across Latvia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
